WOVEN BAG WORKSHOP
Join us for a 4-hour immersive workshop where you'll create your own woven shoulder bag or market tote. Perfect for beginners and weaving enthusiasts, this hands-on session offers a chance to explore 3-dimensional weaving techniques while crafting a functional, beautiful form. Guided by textile artist and educator Jessie Mordine Young, you'll learn the essentials of weaving and transform your creative vision into a tangible piece. Using recycled cotton cord, you'll produce a durable, flexible bag in your choice of colors, making it uniquely yours. Jessie will also introduce advanced techniques to help you expand your weaving practice and create variations on your design.
Please note, everyone works at different paces, and though the majority of students will be able to complete their bags in the allotted 4 hours, some may not! All materials, pdf resources and a live office hour with Jessie will be provided to each student.
